Meistervlies ProProtect

Wallpaper of the Meistervlies ProProtect Collection can be designed in an individual way by treating it with a glaze coat or with an opaque paint. To enhance the effects of these coatings even more, one can remove the surplus paint or use the sponge technique.

Glaze coat

Paint the untreated surface of the Go / Pro non-woven product with a water-based glaze. The non-woven absorbs the colour more intensely than the surface profile. Hereby, a two-colour effect can be achieved in a single work step.

To enhance this effect:

Remove surplus paint

Immediately after painting, remove the surplus paint from the surface profile evenly with a felt-cloth until the desired degree of colour is reached. Owing to this second step, the effect of the glaze coat can be enhanced thus creating a unique surface. A desired design feature resulting from this technique is the slight surface-cloudiness.

Opaque finish

Coat the entire Go / Pro non-woven surface with a full-tone paint.

Sponge technique

Apply the second colour with a soft natural sponge, dabbing delicately to the desired cloudiness. Use a ready mixed glaze for this step. Only a small amount of paint should be applied to the sponge. Apply the effective coating irregularly, in a circular motion and do not use too much pressure, otherwise streaks and stains are possible.
