Borders are essential design elements. They can be used not only as an edging on or below the ceiling, but also as a frame for windows, doors, mirrors, pictures, etc. Borders are often incorporated as a dado trim, in which case the border outline must be marked out before starting the wallpapering work.

Once papering of the dado is complete, align the border with the edge of the non-woven dado. |

Tools: plastic spatula, razor knife or slide rule. | |

Use the double seam cut (see Page 28) to neatly separate borders that are adhered at an angle. |

A different pattern is generally adhered above the border with an overlap. Make a double seam cut (see Page 28) along the upper edge of the border using the razor knife and straight edge. This helps you achieve an exact fit of the border into the wallpaper area. |
